Manage Depression With Thought Field Therapy
The case note of Simone who has been suffering from chorinic depression, is an example of how Assim Ishaque has used THOUGHT FIELD THERAPY to resolve her depression. Name of the client has changed to respect her privacy.
THOUGHT FIELD THERAPY CASE NOTE - Simone's story
Leading a hectic lifestyle with two young children, Simone suffered from depression at a time she needed it least.
One moment she would be doing the housework and the next minute she would be crying on the couch for no reason.
The depression built up over a three month period and she could feel the anxiety swelling up inside.
Her sleep was restless and disrupted and she had lost all the confidence she once had.
Simone suffered from depression for over five years and medical consultations did not help. She felt no happier and more tense. She felt sceptical about THOUGHT FIELD THERAPY treatment, but at the same time was afraid of taking potentially addictive drugs. Our session started by sensitive questioning about the nature of her depression. Unlike traditional Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, we then moved quickly to the treatment. When asked to rate the strength of the depression from one to ten, it was a clear ten. The THOUGHT FIELD THERAPY session was administered and Simone felt the depression lift. Its strength fell to 1. She felt happier and no longer had the irrational feelings she had felt before. I spoke to her a few days later to see how she was feeling. Simone said that she had slept well for the first time in three years and was the happiest she had been in a long time. She had none of the previous signs of depression and was a much stronger and self-confident individual. Simone explained that her mother and younger sister had suffered from the same thing, so she thought it was hereditary. But she said she would definitely recommend that they call and arrange an appointment. |
